How to Configure veritas cluseter ?

Veritas Cluster configurations commands steps

# iscsiadm –mode discoverydb –type sendtargets –portal 192.168.10.1 –discover
# iscsiadm –mode node –target lunname –portal 192.168.10.1:3260 –login

@ When ever wrong disk added then run this command ti remove the unwanted disk
# vxdisk offline disk_1 ( offile the disk )
# vxdisk rm disk_1 remove the disk

#

# /var/lib/iscsi
# unlink (lunname which is not reuired)

@ Start the VXVM Process

# diskgroup=nfsdg
# volume group=nfsvolume

# vxdisksetup -i disk_0
# vxdg init nfsdg nfsd01=disk_0
# vxdg list
# vxassist -g nfsdg make nfsvolume 1g
# vxprint -l nfsvolume

# When after formating disk is not mounted and give mount error

modprobe vxportal

@ The path we get after configuration of vxvm
# /dev/vx/dsk/nfsdg/nfsvolume

# output of vxdisk -o alldgs list

# Add Volume
# hares -add nfsvol Volume nfsgroup
# hares -modify nfsvol Critical 0

# Add Mount Point

# Now set the resource as critical

# hares -modify nfsdisk Critical 1
# hares -modify nfsvol Critical 1
# hares -modify nfs_mnt Critical 1
# hares -modify nfs_ip Critical 1
# hares -modify nfs_nic Critical 1

# hares -list ( show the list of resources )

# now save the configuration
# haconf -dump

# Sequence off the service manually

1. nfsmount
2. nfsvolume
3. nfsdisk
4. nfsip
5 nfs_nic

# Sequence on the service manually

1. nfsmount
2. nfsvolume
3. nfsdisk
4. nfsip
5. nfs_nic

@ Switch service from c1 to c2 or vice versa

# hagrp -switch nfsgroup -to c2

@ To import the service from c1 to c2

# vxdisk -o alldgs list
# vxdg import c2

# modprobe vxportal [ when vxvm licence problem showing ]
